Cyberbullying as an expression of comprehensive violence

Cyberbullying is a recurring problem in the youth of the 21st century, in which a set of criminal phenomena such as sexting, sextortion, bullying or grooming converge, among others. This is because. Social Media is fast-developing platforms in recent years, providing an ideal and expedited way to connect people around the world and share their interests and lifestyles. The objective of the research is to analyze cyberbullying as an expression of gender-based violence in a sample of the basic and middle student population of the Betsabé Espinosa educational institution, located in Barranquilla, Colombia. Methodologically one of the phenomenological-hermeneutic method was made and, as an instrument to gather information, the focus group and in-depth interviews were used. It is concluded that sexting, sextortion, and grooming are the most common gender problems that has triggered cyberbullying in the secondary basic student population, at least at the Betsabé Espinosa Educational Institution in the City of Barranquilla. In addition, the results of this study determine that cyberbullying affects people in an integral way, that is, in its bio-psycho-social dimension.
