Abstract
Simplificando las cosas, la noción de multiverso hace alusión a una heterodoxa teoría según la cual existen una multiplicidad de universos cercanos o lejanos entre sí, de modo que nuestro universo seria entonces uno más en una serie ilimitada de universos reales o posibles. Tal como indica Olmedo (2016), el universo engloba a la totalidad del espacio-tiempo y todo su contenido material y simbólico en una misma totalidad dialéctica en constante expansión, razón por la cual la multiplicidad de universos existentes sería más bien regiones o lugares específicos dentro del cosmos.
