This review examines issue 349 of the National Journal of Culture, an emblematic publication of the Venezuelan publishing scene dedicated to the bicentennial of the Bicentennial of the Naval Battle of Lake Maracaibo. This commemorative edition builds a plural and rigorous narrative on the foundational event of western Venezuelan sovereignty, structuring its content in sections that integrate, on equal terms, historical essays, personal testimonies, literary analysis, urban chronicles and visual materials. The magazine articulates a multidisciplinary approach that transcends historical documentation alone, reinventing the collective memory from diverse voices and languages. Therefore, its polyphonic structure turns each issue into a representative work of Venezuelan culture, standing out for its aesthetic, editorial and patrimonial bet as a space for critical reflection and cultural preservation of Venezuela.
